  "But, the United Farm Workers union has seen the rising farm wages as a good thing, a function of supply and demand." It amazes me how easily that can be said but not understood. Wages are and should be decided by supply and demand. If you can't get enough workers for your business then you entice them with higher wages and better benefits. That is how it is supposed to work, not by the federal or state government dictating how much employers pay their workers. The workers mentioned in this post are making more than some other employees of other companies. However, if the federal government dictated how much they were to be paid, they would not be being paid more than the minimum.

  When will they learn:
  If you can't beat 'em join 'em. If they would just work with him instead of trying to win an election that has already been lost we would be so much better off. They know this is futile and will be more damaging for them than him but they've backed themselves into a corner they can't see any other way out and it will bite them in the ass so painfully they will not recover.
