I'm sure many people think that when they here the phrase Fake News, it means that the story was a complete fabrication.
That is not the case. The story only needs to be purposely inaccurate, exagerated, or paraphrased in such a way that many facts are left out to be Fake News.
A prime example of poor journalism is a story I woke up to one morning that actually started like this:
A New York Times report confirmed by CBS...... How is that in anyway ethical. That's like saying that Randy is telling a lie confirmed by Paul that.... I thought the news organizations were supposed to have sources that knew about something, not just another news organization that is willing to confirm a report. It's amazing to wake up to the news on the radio and hear that, The New York Times or Post is reporting a story that was confirmed by CBS. That is exactly what I heard one morning about the fact that President Trump actually assisted his son in writing a response to something. "
What happened to news organizations having at least two and maybe three people confirming a report before they reported it. I guess that was in the days of ethical jounalism.
